The author Amara-IX reached out to me with the goal of creating a cover that could visually reflect the magic depth of her fantasy novel The Garden of Fading Lights. She wanted a design that would immediately immerse readers in Neyri's world, where mystery, beauty, and danger intertwine.From the initial brief, the concept centered around Neyri—an enigmatic dark elf—as the key visual anchor. The background was carefully composed using layered atmospheric perspective and a cool-toned palette of purples and greens to evoke the mystical ambience of the enchanted garden. Subtle lighting effects and chromatic highlights were applied to enhance depth and visual flow. The iconic tree and magical crystal were integrated as symbolic storytelling elements, while the silhouette of the Wanderer, the one who changes her fate, adds narrative intrigue and balance to the composition.What came to life through this process is a cover that blends elegance with mystery. It encapsulates the story’s central themes of love, sacrifice, and the cost of freedom, inviting readers into a world where magic is both beautiful and perilous.
